Und er tat die Cherubim inwendig ins Haus. Und die Cherubim breiteten ihre Flügel aus, daß eines Flügel rührte an diese Wand und des andern Cherubs Flügel rührte an die andere Wand; aber mitten im Hause rührte ein Flügel an den andern.

Salomo ließ sie mitten im Allerheiligsten aufstellen, und zwar so, dass sich ihre ausgebreiteten Flügel in der Mitte berührten. Mit ihrer äußeren Flügelspitze berührten sie die Seitenwände.

Er stellte die Kerubim mitten in den innersten Raum. Ihre Flügel waren so ausgespannt, dass der Flügel des einen Kerubs die eine Wand, der Flügel des zweiten Kerubs die andere Wand, die Flügel in der Mitte des Raumes aber einander berührten.
