Und David versammelte gen Jerusalem alle Obersten Israels, nämlich die Fürsten der Stämme, die Fürsten der Ordnungen, die dem König dienten, die Fürsten über 1000 und über 100, die Fürsten über die Güter und das Vieh des Königs und seiner Söhne mit den Kämmerern, die Kriegsmänner und alle ansehnlichen Männer.
David’s Address about the Temple
Now David assembled at Jerusalem all the officials of Israel, the princes of the tribes, and the commanders of the divisions that served the king, and the commanders of thousands, and the commanders of hundreds, and the overseers of all the property and livestock belonging to the king and his sons, with the officials and the mighty men, even all the valiant men.

Und David, der König, stand auf und sprach: Höret mir zu, meine Brüder und mein Volk! Ich hatte mir vorgenommen, ein Haus zu bauen, da ruhen sollte die Lade des Bundes des HERRN und der Schemel der Füße unsres Gottes, und hatte mich geschickt, zu bauen.
Then King David rose to his feet and said, “Listen to me, my brethren and my people; I had intended to build a permanent home for the ark of the covenant of the LORD and for the footstool of our God. So I had made preparations to build it.
Aber Gott ließ mir sagen: Du sollst meinem Namen nicht ein Haus bauen; denn du bist ein Kriegsmann und hast Blut vergossen.
“But God said to me, ‘You shall not build a house for My name because you are a man of war and have shed blood.’
Nun hat der HERR, der Gott Israel, mich erwählt aus meines Vaters ganzem Hause, daß ich König über Israel sein sollte ewiglich. Denn er hat Juda erwählt zum Fürstentum, und im Hause Juda meines Vaters Haus, und unter meines Vaters Kindern hat er Gefallen gehabt an mir, daß er mich über ganz Israel zum König machte.
“Yet, the LORD, the God of Israel, chose me from all the house of my father to be king over Israel forever. For He has chosen Judah to be a leader; and in the house of Judah, my father’s house, and among the sons of my father He took pleasure in me to make me king over all Israel.
Und unter allen meinen Söhnen (denn der HERR hat mir viele Söhne gegeben hat er meinen Sohn Salomo erwählt, daß er sitzen soll auf dem Stuhl des Königreichs des HERRN über Israel,
“Of all my sons (for the LORD has given me many sons), He has chosen my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the kingdom of the LORD over Israel.
und hat zu mir geredet: Dein Sohn Salomo soll mein Haus und meine Vorhöfe bauen; denn ich habe ihn mir erwählt zum Sohn, und ich will sein Vater sein
“He said to me, ‘Your son Solomon is the one who shall build My house and My courts; for I have chosen him to be a son to Me, and I will be a father to him.
und will sein Königreich bestätigen ewiglich, so er wird anhalten, daß er tue nach meinen Geboten und Rechten, wie es heute steht.
‘I will establish his kingdom forever if he resolutely performs My commandments and My ordinances, as is done now.’
Nun vor dem ganzen Israel, der Gemeinde des HERRN, und vor den Ohren unseres Gottes: So haltet und sucht alle Gebote des HERRN, eures Gottes, auf daß ihr besitzet das gute Land und es vererbet auf eure Kinder nach euch ewiglich.
“So now, in the sight of all Israel, the assembly of the LORD, and in the hearing of our God, observe and seek after all the commandments of the LORD your God so that you may possess the good land and bequeath it to your sons after you forever.
Und du, mein Sohn Salomo, erkenne den Gott deines Vaters und diene ihm mit ganzem Herzen und mit williger Seele. Denn der HERR sucht alle Herzen und versteht aller Gedanken Dichten. Wirst du ihn suchen, so wirst du ihn finden; wirst du ihn aber verlassen, so wird er dich verwerfen ewiglich.
“As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a whole heart and a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.
So siehe nun zu; denn der HERR hat dich erwählt, daß du ein Haus bauest zum Heiligtum. Sei getrost und mache es!
“Consider now, for the LORD has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary; be courageous and act.”
Und David gab seinem Sohn Salomo ein Vorbild der Halle des Tempels und seiner Häuser und der Gemächer und Söller und Kammern inwendig und des Hauses des Gnadenstuhls,
Then David gave to his son Solomon the plan of the porch of the temple, its buildings, its storehouses, its upper rooms, its inner rooms and the room for the mercy seat;
dazu Vorbilder alles dessen, was bei ihm in seinem Gemüt war, nämlich die Vorhöfe am Hause des HERRN und aller Gemächer umher für die Schätze im Hause Gottes und für die Schätze des Geheiligten,
and the plan of all that he had in mind, for the courts of the house of the LORD, and for all the surrounding rooms, for the storehouses of the house of God and for the storehouses of the dedicated things;
und der Ordnungen der Priester und Leviten, und aller Geschäfte und Geräte der Ämter im Hause des HERRN,
also for the divisions of the priests and the Levites and for all the work of the service of the house of the LORD and for all the utensils of service in the house of the LORD;
und des goldenen Zeuges nach dem Goldgewicht zu allerlei Geräte eines jeglichen Amts, und alles silbernen Zeuges nach dem Gewicht zu allerlei Geräte eines jeglichen Amts,
for the golden utensils, the weight of gold for all utensils for every kind of service; for the silver utensils, the weight of silver for all utensils for every kind of service;
und das Gewicht für den goldenen Leuchter und die goldenen Lampen, für jeglichen Leuchter und seine Lampen sein Gewicht, also auch für die silbernen Leuchter, für den Leuchter und seine Lampen, nach dem Amt eines jeglichen Leuchters;
and the weight of gold for the golden lampstands and their golden lamps, with the weight of each lampstand and its lamps; and the weight of silver for the silver lampstands, with the weight of each lampstand and its lamps according to the use of each lampstand;
auch gab er das Gewicht des Goldes für die Tische der Schaubrote, für jeglichen Tisch sein Gewicht, also auch des Silbers für die silbernen Tische,
and the gold by weight for the tables of showbread, for each table; and silver for the silver tables;
und für die Gabeln, Becken und Kannen von lauterem Golde und für die goldenen Becher, für jeglichen Becher sein Gewicht, und für die silbernen Becher, für jeglichen Becher sein Gewicht,
and the forks, the basins, and the pitchers of pure gold; and for the golden bowls with the weight for each bowl; and for the silver bowls with the weight for each bowl;
und für den Räucheraltar vom allerlautersten Golde sein Gewicht, auch ein Vorbild des Wagens, nämlich der goldenen Cherubim, daß sie sich ausbreiteten und bedeckten oben die Lade des Bundes des HERRN.
and for the altar of incense refined gold by weight; and gold for the model of the chariot, even the cherubim that spread out their wings and covered the ark of the covenant of the LORD.
Das alles ist mir beschrieben gegeben von der Hand des HERRN, daß es mich unterwiese über alle Werke des Vorbildes.
“All this,” said David, “the LORD made me understand in writing by His hand upon me, all the details of this pattern.”
Und David sprach zu seinem Sohn Salomo: Sei getrost und unverzagt und mache es; fürchte dich nicht und zage nicht! Gott der HERR, mein Gott, wird mit dir sein und wird die Hand nicht abziehen noch dich verlassen, bis du alle Werke zum Amt im Hause des HERRN vollendest.
Then David said to his son Solomon, “Be strong and courageous, and act; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you until all the work for the service of the house of the LORD is finished.
Siehe da, die Ordnungen der Priester und Leviten zu allen Ämtern im Hause Gottes sind mit dir zu allem Geschäft und sind willig und weise zu allen Ämtern, dazu die Fürsten und alles Volk zu allen deinen Händeln.
“Now behold, there are the divisions of the priests and the Levites for all the service of the house of God, and every willing man of any skill will be with you in all the work for all kinds of service. The officials also and all the people will be entirely at your command.”
