So spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Was übriggeblieben ist von Israel, das muß nachgelesen werden wie am Weinstock. Der Weinleser wird eins nach dem andern in die Butten werfen.

Ich, der HERR, der allmächtige Gott, sage: Jeremia, wende dich noch einmal diesem Volk zu wie ein Winzer, der Ranke für Ranke umdreht. Halte Nachlese an denen, die vom Volk Israel übrig bleiben.«

So spricht der HERR der Heerscharen: Genaue Nachlese wie am Weinstock soll man halten am Rest Israels. Leg deine Hand an wie ein Winzer an die Reben!
