Das war der Anteil, der den Nachkommen Josefs durch das Los zufiel: vom Jordan bei Jericho zu den Quellen von Jericho ostwärts, dann von Jericho aus in die Wüste aufsteigend und ins Gebirge von Bet-El.

Und das Los fiel den Kindern Joseph aufgangwärts vom Jordan gegenüber Jericho bis zum Wasser bei Jericho, und die Wüste, die heraufgeht von Jericho durch das Gebirge gen Beth–El;

Für die Nachkommen von Josef bestimmte das Los folgendes Gebiet: Die Grenze begann am Jordan auf der Höhe von Jericho und führte über die Quellen östlich der Stadt durch die Wüste hinauf ins Bergland von Bethel.
