Job Responds to the LORD
Then Job replied to the LORD,
Hiob aber antwortete dem HERRN und sprach:
“I am nothing — how could I ever find the answers?
I will cover my mouth with my hand.

Siehe, ich bin zu leichtfertig gewesen; was soll ich antworten? Ich will meine Hand auf meinen Mund legen.

Ich habe einmal geredet, und will nicht antworten; zum andernmal will ich’s nicht mehr tun.
The LORD Challenges Job Again
Then the LORD answered Job from the whirlwind:
Und der HERR antwortete Hiob aus dem Wetter und sprach:
“Brace yourself like a man,
because I have some questions for you,
and you must answer them.

“Will you discredit my justice
and condemn me just to prove you are right?

Solltest du mein Urteil zunichte machen und mich verdammen, daß du gerecht seist?
Are you as strong as God?
Can you thunder with a voice like his?

Hast du einen Arm wie Gott, und kannst mit gleicher Stimme donnern, wie er tut?

Streue aus den Zorn deines Grimmes; schaue an die Hochmütigen, wo sie sind, und demütige sie!
