Aber in der Wahrheit sage ich euch: Es waren viele Witwen in Israel zu Elia’s Zeiten, da der Himmel verschlossen war drei Jahre und sechs Monate, da eine große Teuerung war im ganzen Lande;

Denkt doch an Elia! Damals gab es genug Witwen in Israel, die Hilfe brauchten; denn es hatte dreieinhalb Jahre nicht geregnet, und alle Menschen im Land hungerten.

Wahrhaftig, das sage ich euch: In Israel gab es viele Witwen in den Tagen des Elija, als der Himmel für drei Jahre und sechs Monate verschlossen war und eine große Hungersnot über das ganze Land kam.
