Wenn er das Meer bedroht, trocknet es aus, ganze Flüsse lässt er versiegen. Die saftigen Weiden von Baschan welken dahin, die Bäume auf dem Karmel werden dürr, und der Libanon mit seinem Blütenmeer liegt da wie eine trostlose Wüste.
