Denn der HERR hat sich Jakob erwählt, Israel zu seinem Eigentum.
For the LORD hath chosen Jacob unto himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure.

Er schlug viele Völker und tötete mächtige Könige:

Sihon, den König der Amoriter, Og, den König von Baschan, und alle Königreiche Kanaans.
Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan:
Er gab ihr Land zum Erbe, zum Erbe seinem Volke Israel.
And gave their land for an heritage, an heritage unto Israel his people.
HERR, dein Name währt ewig, HERR, das Gedenken an dich währt von Geschlecht zu Geschlecht.
Thy name, O LORD, endureth for ever; and thy memorial, O LORD, throughout all generations.
Denn der HERR schafft Recht seinem Volk; er erbarmt sich seiner Knechte.
For the LORD will judge his people, and he will repent himself concerning his servants.

They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not;

They have ears, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouths.
Ihnen werden gleich, die sie machen, alle, die auf sie vertrauen.
They that make them are like unto them: so is every one that trusteth in them.
