Denn die Bewohner der Höhe hat er niedergebeugt, die hoch aufragende Stadt erniedrigt; er hat sie erniedrigt bis zur Erde, sie bis in den Staub gestoßen.

Und er beugt die, so in der Höhe wohnen; die hohe Stadt erniedrigt er, ja er stößt sie zur Erde, daß sie im Staube liegt,

Alle, die in stolzer Höhe wohnten, stieß er tief hinab. Die Stadt, sie ragte hoch empor, doch er hat sie zerstört, hinunter in den Staub geworfen.
