Durch den Grimm des HERRN der Heerscharen ist das Land versengt; das Volk wurde ein Raub der Flammen. Keiner verschonte den andern:

Im Zorn des HERRN Zebaoth ist das Land verfinstert, daß das Volk ist wie Speise des Feuers; keiner schont des andern.

In seinem glühenden Zorn denkt der HERR, der allmächtige Gott, gar nicht daran, dieses Feuer einzudämmen. Zurück bleibt ein zerstörtes Land, ein Land, in dem jeder gegen jeden kämpft. Niemand kümmert sich um den anderen,
