Juble nur und freue dich, Tochter Edom, die du wohnst im Lande Uz. Auch zu dir wird der Becher kommen, du wirst dich betrinken und dich entblößen.

Ja, freue dich und sei fröhlich, du Tochter Edom, die du wohnest im Lande Uz! denn der Kelch wird auch über dich kommen; du mußt auch trunken und entblößt werden.

Lacht nur schadenfroh, ihr Edomiter im Land Uz! Der Kelch mit Gottes Zorn kommt auch zu euch! Ob ihr wollt oder nicht, ihr müsst daraus trinken, dann werdet ihr taumeln und nackt am Boden liegen.
