Der HERR rief Mose, redete ihn vom Offenbarungszelt aus an und sprach:
The Law of Burnt Offerings
Then the LORD called to Moses and spoke to him from the tent of meeting, saying,

Rede zu den Israeliten und sag zu ihnen: Wenn einer von euch dem HERRN von den Haustieren eine Opfergabe darbringt, könnt ihr das mit Rind und Kleinvieh tun.
“Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘When any man of you brings an offering to the LORD, you shall bring your offering of animals from the herd or the flock.
Ist seine Opfergabe ein Brandopfer vom Rind, so bringe er ein männliches Tier ohne Fehler dar; er soll es an den Eingang des Offenbarungszeltes bringen, damit er vor dem HERRN Wohlgefallen findet.
‘If his offering is a burnt offering from the herd, he shall offer it, a male without defect; he shall offer it at the doorway of the tent of meeting, that he may be accepted before the LORD.
Er lege seine Hand auf den Kopf des Opfertiers, damit es für ihn wohlgefällig angenommen werde, um für ihn Versöhnung zu erwirken.
‘He shall lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering, that it may be accepted for him to make atonement on his behalf.
Er soll dann den Stier vor dem HERRN schlachten und die Söhne Aarons, die Priester, sollen das Blut darbringen. Sie sollen es ringsum an den Altar sprengen, der am Eingang des Offenbarungszeltes steht.
‘He shall slay the young bull before the LORD; and Aaron’s sons the priests shall offer up the blood and sprinkle the blood around on the altar that is at the doorway of the tent of meeting.
Dann soll er das Opfer abhäuten und es in Stücke zerlegen.
‘He shall then skin the burnt offering and cut it into its pieces.
Die Söhne Aarons, die Priester, sollen Feuer auf den Altar bringen und Holz darauf schichten.
‘The sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire on the altar and arrange wood on the fire.
Hierauf sollen die Söhne Aarons, die Priester, die Stücke sowie den Kopf und das Fett auf das Holz über dem Altarfeuer legen.
‘Then Aaron’s sons the priests shall arrange the pieces, the head and the suet over the wood which is on the fire that is on the altar.
Der Priester soll dann die Eingeweide und die Beine mit Wasser waschen und das Ganze auf dem Altar in Rauch aufgehen lassen. Ein Brandopfer ist es, ein Feueropfer zum beruhigenden Duft für den HERRN.
‘Its entrails, however, and its legs he shall wash with water. And the priest shall offer up in smoke all of it on the altar for a burnt offering, an offering by fire of a soothing aroma to the LORD.
Ist seine Opfergabe ein Brandopfer vom Kleinvieh, von den Schafen oder Ziegen, dann soll er ein fehlerloses männliches Tier bringen.
‘But if his offering is from the flock, of the sheep or of the goats, for a burnt offering, he shall offer it a male without defect.
Er soll es an der Nordseite des Altars vor dem HERRN schlachten und die Söhne Aarons, die Priester, sollen sein Blut ringsum an den Altar sprengen.
‘He shall slay it on the side of the altar northward before the LORD, and Aaron’s sons the priests shall sprinkle its blood around on the altar.
Dann soll er es in Stücke zerlegen und der Priester soll diese sowie den Kopf und das Fett auf das Holz über dem Altarfeuer legen.
‘He shall then cut it into its pieces with its head and its suet, and the priest shall arrange them on the wood which is on the fire that is on the altar.
Er soll dann die Eingeweide und die Beine mit Wasser waschen und der Priester soll das Ganze darbringen und auf dem Altar in Rauch aufgehen lassen. Ein Brandopfer ist es, ein Feueropfer zum beruhigenden Duft für den HERRN.

Ist seine Opfergabe für den HERRN ein Brandopfer vom Geflügel, dann soll er eine Turteltaube oder eine Felsentaube bringen.
‘But if his offering to the LORD is a burnt offering of birds, then he shall bring his offering from the turtledoves or from young pigeons.
Der Priester soll sie zum Altar bringen, ihren Kopf abtrennen und ihn auf dem Altar in Rauch aufgehen lassen; ihr Blut soll gegen die Altarwand ausgepresst werden.
‘The priest shall bring it to the altar, and wring off its head and offer it up in smoke on the altar; and its blood is to be drained out on the side of the altar.
Dann soll er ihren Kropf mit den Federn entfernen und ihn an der Ostseite des Altars auf den Platz der Fett-Asche werfen.
‘He shall also take away its crop with its feathers and cast it beside the altar eastward, to the place of the ashes.
Darauf soll der Priester den Vogel an den Flügeln einreißen, ohne ihn dabei zu teilen, und ihn auf dem Altar, auf dem Holz über dem Feuer, in Rauch aufgehen lassen. Ein Brandopfer ist es, ein Feueropfer zum beruhigenden Duft für den HERRN.
‘Then he shall tear it by its wings, but shall not sever it. And the priest shall offer it up in smoke on the altar on the wood which is on the fire; it is a burnt offering, an offering by fire of a soothing aroma to the LORD.
