The Four Chariots
And I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came four chariots out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass.
And I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came four chariots out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass.
Am ersten Wagen waren rote Pferde, am zweiten Wagen schwarze Pferde,
In the first chariot were red horses; and in the second chariot black horses;
am dritten Wagen weiße Pferde und am vierten Wagen gescheckte Pferde, alles starke Tiere.
And in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot grisled and bay horses.
Darauf fragte ich den Engel, der mit mir redete: Was bedeuten diese, mein Herr?
Then I answered and said unto the angel that talked with me, What are these, my lord?
Der Engel gab mir zur Antwort: Das sind die vier Winde des Himmels, die ausziehen, nachdem sie vor dem Herrn der ganzen Erde gestanden haben.
And the angel answered and said unto me, These are the four spirits of the heavens, which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth.
Die schwarzen Pferde — der Wagen, an dem sie sind — ziehen aus in das Land des Nordens, die weißen sind hinter ihnen hergezogen und die gescheckten sind in das Land des Südens gezogen.
The black horses which are therein go forth into the north country; and the white go forth after them; and the grisled go forth toward the south country.
Die starken Tiere zogen aus, begierig, die Erde zu durchstreifen. Da sagte er: Geht hin, durchstreift die Erde! Und sie durchstreiften die Erde.
And the bay went forth, and sought to go that they might walk to and fro through the earth: and he said, Get you hence, walk to and fro through the earth. So they walked to and fro through the earth.
Und er rief mir zu und sprach zu mir: Sieh, jene, die in das Land des Nordens ziehen, sie bringen meinen Geist über das Land des Nordens.
Then cried he upon me, and spake unto me, saying, Behold, these that go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country.
Das Wort des HERRN erging an mich:
The Crown and the Temple
And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
Nimm von denen, die aus dem Exil heimkehren, von Heldai, Tobija und Jedaja, entgegen und komm selbst an diesem Tag, komm in das Haus Joschijas, des Sohnes Zefanjas, die aus Babel zurückgekommen sind:
Take of them of the captivity, even of Heldai, of Tobijah, and of Jedaiah, which are come from Babylon, and come thou the same day, and go into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah;
Nimm Silber und Gold, mach eine Krone, setze sie dem Hohepriester Jehoschua, dem Sohn des Jozadak, aufs Haupt
Then take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set them upon the head of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest;
und sag zu ihm: So spricht der HERR der Heerscharen: Sieh da, ein Mann, Spross ist sein Name; von dort, wo er steht, wird es sprossen und er wird den Tempel des HERRN bauen.
And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD:
Er ist es, der den Tempel des HERRN bauen wird. Er ist mit Hoheit bekleidet und wird auf seinem Thron sitzen und herrschen. Und auch ein Priester wird auf seinem Thron sein und friedvolles Einvernehmen wird zwischen ihnen beiden sein.
Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.
Die Krone aber soll zur Erinnerung an Heldai, Tobija, Jedaja und an das Wohlwollen des Sohnes Zefanjas im Tempel des HERRN bleiben.
And the crowns shall be to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in the temple of the LORD.
Aus der Ferne werden sie kommen und am Tempel des HERRN bauen. Dann werdet ihr erkennen, dass mich der HERR der Heerscharen zu euch gesandt hat. Das wird geschehen, wenn ihr beharrlich auf die Stimme des HERRN, eures Gottes, hört.
And they that are far off shall come and build in the temple of the LORD, and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you. And this shall come to pass, if ye will diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God.
