Rede zu Aaron und sag zu ihm: Wenn du die Lampen auf den Leuchter steckst, dann so, dass das Licht der sieben Lampen vom Leuchter aus nach vorn fällt.
“Speak to Aaron and say to him, ‘When you mount the lamps, the seven lamps will give light in the front of the lampstand.’”
Das tat Aaron; er steckte die Lampen so auf, dass ihr Licht vom Leuchter aus nach vorn fiel, wie der HERR es Mose geboten hatte.
Aaron therefore did so; he mounted its lamps at the front of the lampstand, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
So war der Leuchter gemacht: Er war aus Gold getrieben, vom Gestell bis zu den Blüten war er aus Gold getrieben. Mose hatte den Leuchter nach dem Muster angefertigt, das der HERR ihm gezeigt hatte.
Now this was the workmanship of the lampstand, hammered work of gold; from its base to its flowers it was hammered work; according to the pattern which the LORD had shown Moses, so he made the lampstand.
Nimm die Leviten aus der Mitte der Israeliten und reinige sie!
“Take the Levites from among the sons of Israel and cleanse them.
So sollst du ihre Reinigung vollziehen: Spreng über sie das Entsündigungswasser! Sie selbst sollen sich an ihrem ganzen Körper mit einem Schermesser die Haare schneiden, ihre Kleider waschen und sich reinigen.
“Thus you shall do to them, for their cleansing: sprinkle purifying water on them, and let them use a razor over their whole body and wash their clothes, and they will be clean.
Dann sollen sie einen Jungstier nehmen und dazu als Speiseopfer Weizenfeinmehl, das mit Öl vermengt ist. Einen zweiten Jungstier sollst du für das Sündopfer nehmen.
“Then let them take a bull with its grain offering, fine flour mixed with oil; and a second bull you shall take for a sin offering.
Dann sollst du die Leviten vor das Offenbarungszelt hintreten lassen und die ganze Gemeinde der Israeliten versammeln.
“So you shall present the Levites before the tent of meeting. You shall also assemble the whole congregation of the sons of Israel,
Lass die Leviten vor den HERRN treten! Die Israeliten sollen den Leviten die Hände auflegen
and present the Levites before the LORD; and the sons of Israel shall lay their hands on the Levites.
und Aaron soll aus den Israeliten die Leviten zum Erhebungsopfer vor dem HERRN erklären, damit sie den Dienst des HERRN verrichten.
“Aaron then shall present the Levites before the LORD as a wave offering from the sons of Israel, that they may qualify to perform the service of the LORD.
Die Leviten sollen ihre Hände den Stieren auf den Kopf legen. Dann richte den einen als Sündopfer und den anderen als Brandopfer für den HERRN her, um für die Leviten Sühne zu erwirken.
“Now the Levites shall lay their hands on the heads of the bulls; then offer the one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering to the LORD, to make atonement for the Levites.
Stell die Leviten vor Aaron und seine Söhne und erkläre sie zum Erhebungsopfer für den HERRN!
“You shall have the Levites stand before Aaron and before his sons so as to present them as a wave offering to the LORD.
Auf diese Weise sollst du die Leviten aus der Mitte der Israeliten aussondern; dann gehören die Leviten mir.
“Thus you shall separate the Levites from among the sons of Israel, and the Levites shall be Mine.
Danach sollen die Leviten mit ihrem Dienst am Offenbarungszelt beginnen. Reinige sie und erkläre sie zum Erhebungsopfer;
“Then after that the Levites may go in to serve the tent of meeting. But you shall cleanse them and present them as a wave offering;
denn sie sind mir übergeben — übergeben sind sie mir aus der Mitte der Israeliten — , als Ersatz für alle, die den Mutterschoß durchbrechen; als Ersatz für alle erstgeborenen Israeliten habe ich sie mir genommen.
for they are wholly given to Me from among the sons of Israel. I have taken them for Myself instead of every first issue of the womb, the firstborn of all the sons of Israel.
Denn alle erstgeborenen Israeliten gehören mir, sowohl bei den Menschen als auch beim Vieh. An dem Tag, an dem ich in Ägypten alle Erstgeborenen erschlug, habe ich sie als mir heilig erklärt.
“For every firstborn among the sons of Israel is Mine, among the men and among the animals; on the day that I struck down all the firstborn in the land of Egypt I sanctified them for Myself.
Die Leviten habe ich als Ersatz für alle erstgeborenen Israeliten genommen.
“But I have taken the Levites instead of every firstborn among the sons of Israel.
Ich habe die Leviten Aaron und seinen Söhnen aus der Mitte der Israeliten als Gabe übergeben, damit sie am Offenbarungszelt den Dienst der Israeliten vollziehen und für die Israeliten Sühne erwirken, sodass die Israeliten kein Unheil trifft, wenn sie dem Heiligtum zu nahe kommen.
“I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the sons of Israel, to perform the service of the sons of Israel at the tent of meeting and to make atonement on behalf of the sons of Israel, so that there will be no plague among the sons of Israel by their coming near to the sanctuary.”
Mose, Aaron und die ganze Gemeinde der Israeliten taten mit den Leviten genau das, was der HERR dem Mose hinsichtlich der Leviten geboten hatte; das taten die Israeliten mit den Leviten.
Thus did Moses and Aaron and all the congregation of the sons of Israel to the Levites; according to all that the LORD had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so the sons of Israel did to them.
Die Leviten entsündigten sich und wuschen ihre Kleider. Aaron erklärte sie zum Erhebungsopfer vor dem HERRN und erwirkte Sühne für sie, sodass sie rein waren.
The Levites, too, purified themselves from sin and washed their clothes; and Aaron presented them as a wave offering before the LORD. Aaron also made atonement for them to cleanse them.
Danach traten die Leviten bei Aaron und seinen Söhnen ihren Dienst am Offenbarungszelt an. Was der HERR dem Mose hinsichtlich der Leviten geboten hatte, das tat man mit ihnen.
Then after that the Levites went in to perform their service in the tent of meeting before Aaron and before his sons; just as the LORD had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so they did to them.
Folgendes gilt für die Leviten: Mit fünfundzwanzig Jahren und darüber ist jeder verpflichtet, am Offenbarungszelt seinen Dienst zu tun.
“This is what applies to the Levites: from twenty-five years old and upward they shall enter to perform service in the work of the tent of meeting.
Mit fünfzig Jahren endet seine Verpflichtung und er braucht keinen Dienst mehr zu tun;
“But at the age of fifty years they shall retire from service in the work and not work any more.
er kann aber am Offenbarungszelt seinen Brüdern bei der Ausübung ihres Dienstes helfen; doch den Dienst selbst soll er nicht versehen. So sollst du den Dienst der Leviten ordnen.
“They may, however, assist their brothers in the tent of meeting, to keep an obligation, but they themselves shall do no work. Thus you shall deal with the Levites concerning their obligations.”
