Weh euch, ihr seid blinde Führer! Ihr sagt: Wenn einer beim Tempel schwört, gilt es nicht, wenn er aber beim Gold des Tempels schwört, gilt es.

Weh euch, verblendete Leiter, die ihr sagt: «Wer da schwört bei dem Tempel, das ist nichts; wer aber schwört bei dem Gold am Tempel, der ist’s schuldig.

Wehe euch! Ihr wollt andere führen und seid doch selbst blind. So behauptet ihr: ›Beim Tempel Gottes schwören, das hat nichts zu bedeuten. Aber wer beim Gold im Tempel schwört, der muss seinen Eid halten.‹
