Als die Gerichtsdiener zu den Hohepriestern und den Pharisäern zurückkamen, fragten diese: Warum habt ihr ihn nicht hergebracht?

Die Knechte kamen zu den Hohenpriestern und Pharisäern; und sie sprachen zu ihnen: Warum habt ihr ihn nicht gebracht?

So kehrte die Tempelwache zu den obersten Priestern und den Pharisäern zurück, ohne Jesus festgenommen zu haben. »Weshalb bringt ihr ihn nicht mit?«, stellten sie die Soldaten zur Rede.
