Juda war mit einer Kanaaniterin, einer Tochter von Schua, verheiratet. Sie hatten drei Söhne: Er, Onan und Schela. Er, der Älteste, tat, was dem HERRN missfiel, darum ließ Gott ihn früh sterben.
The sons of Judah were Er, Onan and Shelah; these three were born to him by Bath-shua the Canaanitess. And Er, Judah’s firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the LORD, so He put him to death.

Boaz became the father of Obed, and Obed became the father of Jesse;

Kaleb, der Sohn von Hezron, und seine Frau Asuba hatten eine Tochter namens Jeriot. Ihre Söhne hießen Jescher, Schobab und Ardon.
Now Caleb the son of Hezron had sons by Azubah his wife, and by Jerioth; and these were her sons: Jesher, Shobab, and Ardon.

When Azubah died, Caleb married Ephrath, who bore him Hur.
Hurs Sohn hieß Uri und dessen Sohn Bezalel.
Hur became the father of Uri, and Uri became the father of Bezalel.
Mit 60 Jahren heiratete Kalebs Vater Hezron noch einmal. Seine Frau war eine Tochter von Machir, dem Vater von Gilead. Hezron und seine Frau bekamen einen Sohn mit Namen Segub.
Afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of Machir the father of Gilead, whom he married when he was sixty years old; and she bore him Segub.
Segubs Sohn hieß Jaïr. Er besaß in der Gegend von Gilead dreiundzwanzig Dörfer, die »Dörfer Jaïrs« genannt wurden. Als Hezron gestorben war, dessen Frau Abija hieß, kam Kaleb zu Efrata und zeugte mit ihr einen Sohn: Er hieß Aschhur und gründete später die Stadt Tekoa.
After the death of Hezron in Caleb-ephrathah, Abijah, Hezron’s wife, bore him Ashhur the father of Tekoa.
Dies sind die Nachkommen von Jerachmeel, Hezrons ältestem Sohn: Der erste Sohn hieß Ram, dann folgten Buna, Oren, Ozem und Ahija.
Now the sons of Jerahmeel the firstborn of Hezron were Ram the firstborn, then Bunah, Oren, Ozem and Ahijah.
Jerachmeels zweite Frau hieß Atara. Sie war die Mutter von Onam.
Jerahmeel had another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam.
Die Söhne von Ram, Jerachmeels ältestem Sohn, hießen Maaz, Jamin und Eker.
The sons of Ram, the firstborn of Jerahmeel, were Maaz, Jamin and Eker.
Onams Söhne waren Schammai und Jada. Schammais Söhne hießen Nadab und Abischur.

Abischur und seine Frau Abihajil hatten zwei Söhne: Achban und Molid.

Nadabs Söhne hießen Seled und Appajim. Seled starb ohne Kinder;
The sons of Nadab were Seled and Appaim, and Seled died without sons.
Appajim hatte einen Sohn namens Jischi. Jischi war der Vater von Scheschan, und dessen Sohn hieß Achlai.
The son of Appaim was Ishi. And the son of Ishi was Sheshan. And the son of Sheshan was Ahlai.
Die Söhne von Jada, Schammais Bruder, waren Jeter und Jonatan. Jeter hatte keine Kinder.
The sons of Jada the brother of Shammai were Jether and Jonathan, and Jether died without sons.
Jonatans Söhne hießen Pelet und Sasa. Das waren die Nachkommen von Jerachmeel.

Now the sons of Caleb, the brother of Jerahmeel, were Mesha his firstborn, who was the father of Ziph; and his son was Mareshah, the father of Hebron.

The sons of Hebron were Korah and Tappuah and Rekem and Shema.
Schemas Sohn Raham war der Vater von Jorkoam und gründete eine Stadt mit diesem Namen. Rekems Sohn hieß Schammai.
Shema became the father of Raham, the father of Jorkeam; and Rekem became the father of Shammai.
Schammais Sohn Maon war der Gründer von Bet-Zur.
The son of Shammai was Maon, and Maon was the father of Bethzur.
Kaleb und seine Nebenfrau Efa hatten drei Söhne: Haran, Moza und Gases. Harans Sohn hieß ebenfalls Gases.
Ephah, Caleb’s concubine, bore Haran, Moza and Gazez; and Haran became the father of Gazez.
Jahdais Söhne waren Regem, Jotam, Geschan, Pelet, Efa und Schaaf.
The sons of Jahdai were Regem, Jotham, Geshan, Pelet, Ephah and Shaaph.
Kaleb und seine zweite Nebenfrau Maacha hatten folgende Söhne: Scheber und Tirhana,
Maacah, Caleb’s concubine, bore Sheber and Tirhanah.
Schaaf, den Vater von Madmanna, sowie Schewa, den Vater von Machbena und Gibea. Schaaf und Schewa gründeten auch Städte und benannten sie nach ihren Söhnen. Kalebs Tochter hieß Achsa.
She also bore Shaaph the father of Madmannah, Sheva the father of Machbena and the father of Gibea; and the daughter of Caleb was Achsah.
