Immer wieder befreite sie der HERR, aber sie dachten gar nicht daran, ihm zu gehorchen. So sanken sie durch ihre Schuld immer tiefer ins Unglück.

Doch als Gott ihre verzweifelte Lage sah und ihre Hilfeschreie hörte,

da dachte er an seinen Bund mit ihnen. Ja, seine Liebe zu ihnen war stark, darum tat es ihm leid, dass er sie ihren Feinden ausgeliefert hatte.
