Wie liebenswert ist deine Wohnung, du HERR der Heerscharen!
My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.
Meine Seele verzehrt sich in Sehnsucht nach den Höfen des HERRN. Mein Herz und mein Fleisch, sie jubeln dem lebendigen Gott entgegen.
Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God.

Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.
Selig die Menschen, die Kraft finden in dir, die Pilgerwege im Herzen haben.
Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.
Ziehen sie durch das Tal der Dürre, machen sie es zum Quellgrund und Frühregen hüllt es in Segen.
They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.
Sie schreiten dahin mit wachsender Kraft und erscheinen vor Gott auf dem Zion.

Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.
Gott, sieh her auf unseren Schild, schau auf das Angesicht deines Gesalbten!
For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
Ja, besser ist ein einziger Tag in deinen Höfen als tausend andere. Lieber an der Schwelle stehen im Haus meines Gottes als wohnen in den Zelten der Frevler.
