Der HERR sprach zu Mose:
Instruction for Apportioning Canaan
Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
Gebiete den Israeliten und sag ihnen: Wenn ihr nach Kanaan kommt, dann ist dies das Land, das euch als erblicher Besitz zufällt, Kanaan in seinen Grenzen:
“Command the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘When you enter the land of Canaan, this is the land that shall fall to you as an inheritance, even the land of Canaan according to its borders.
Der Südrand soll für euch von der Wüste Zin bis an die Seite Edoms gehen und eure Südgrenze vom Ende des Salzmeers ostwärts.
‘Your southern sector shall extend from the wilderness of Zin along the side of Edom, and your southern border shall extend from the end of the Salt Sea eastward.
Dann soll eure Grenze südlich der Skorpionensteige sich bis Zin erstrecken. Ihre Ausläufer sollen bis südlich von Kadesch-Barnea reichen. Von dort soll sie sich bis Hazar-Addar und bis Azmon hinziehen.
‘Then your border shall turn direction from the south to the ascent of Akrabbim and continue to Zin, and its termination shall be to the south of Kadesh-barnea; and it shall reach Hazaraddar and continue to Azmon.
Von Azmon soll die Grenze zum Grenzbach Ägyptens abbiegen und ihre Ausläufer sollen bis zum Meer reichen.
‘The border shall turn direction from Azmon to the brook of Egypt, and its termination shall be at the sea.
Eure Grenze im Westen soll das Große Meer mit seinem Küstengebiet sein. Das sei eure Westgrenze.
‘As for the western border, you shall have the Great Sea, that is, its coastline; this shall be your west border.
Das sei eure Nordgrenze: Vom Großen Meer sollt ihr euch eine Linie bis zum Berg Hor ziehen
‘And this shall be your north border: you shall draw your border line from the Great Sea to Mount Hor.
und vom Berg Hor eine Linie bis Lebo-Hamat. Die Ausläufer dieser Grenze sollen bis Zedad reichen.
‘You shall draw a line from Mount Hor to the Lebo-hamath, and the termination of the border shall be at Zedad;
Dann soll die Grenze weitergehen bis Sifron und ihre Ausläufer sollen bis Hazar-Enan reichen. Das sei eure Nordgrenze.
and the border shall proceed to Ziphron, and its termination shall be at Hazar-enan. This shall be your north border.
Als Ostgrenze sollt ihr eine Linie von Hazar-Enan bis Schefam ziehen.
‘For your eastern border you shall also draw a line from Hazar-enan to Shepham,
Von Schefam soll die Grenze nach Ribla östlich von Ajin hinuntersteigen. Dann soll die Grenze zum Rand des Gebirges östlich des Sees von Kinneret hinuntergehen.
and the border shall go down from Shepham to Riblah on the east side of Ain; and the border shall go down and reach to the slope on the east side of the Sea of Chinnereth.
Dann soll die Grenze zum Jordan hinunterführen und ihre Ausläufer sollen bis zum Salzmeer reichen. Das seien die Grenzen rings um euer Land.
‘And the border shall go down to the Jordan and its termination shall be at the Salt Sea. This shall be your land according to its borders all around.’”
Da befahl Mose den Israeliten: Das ist das Land, das ihr durch das Los als Erbbesitz verteilen sollt. Der HERR hat geboten, es den neuneinhalb Stämmen zu geben;
So Moses commanded the sons of Israel, saying, “This is the land that you are to apportion by lot among you as a possession, which the LORD has commanded to give to the nine and a half tribes.
denn der Stamm der Rubeniter nach seinen Großfamilien und der Stamm der Gaditer nach seinen Großfamilien und der halbe Stamm Manasse haben ihren Erbbesitz schon erhalten.
“For the tribe of the sons of Reuben have received theirs according to their fathers’ households, and the tribe of the sons of Gad according to their fathers’ households, and the half-tribe of Manasseh have received their possession.
Diese zweieinhalb Stämme haben ihren Erbbesitz jenseits des Jordan erhalten, östlich von Jericho.
“The two and a half tribes have received their possession across the Jordan opposite Jericho, eastward toward the sunrising.”
Das sind die Namen der Männer, die das Land unter euch verteilen sollen: der Priester Eleasar und Josua, der Sohn Nuns.
“These are the names of the men who shall apportion the land to you for inheritance: Eleazar the priest and Joshua the son of Nun.
Außerdem nehmt zur Verteilung des Landes je einen Anführer aus jedem Stamm hinzu!
“You shall take one leader of every tribe to apportion the land for inheritance.
Das sind die Namen dieser Männer: für den Stamm Juda Kaleb, der Sohn Jefunnes;
“These are the names of the men: of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.
für den Stamm der Simeoniter Schemuël, der Sohn Ammihuds;
“Of the tribe of the sons of Simeon, Samuel the son of Ammihud.
für den Stamm Benjamin Elidad, der Sohn Kislons;
“Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon.
für den Stamm der Daniter der Anführer Bukki, der Sohn Joglis;
“Of the tribe of the sons of Dan a leader, Bukki the son of Jogli.
bei den Josefstämmen für den Stamm der Manassiter der Anführer Hanniël, der Sohn Efods,
“Of the sons of Joseph: of the tribe of the sons of Manasseh a leader, Hanniel the son of Ephod.
und für den Stamm der Efraimiter der Anführer Kemuël, der Sohn Schiftans;
“Of the tribe of the sons of Ephraim a leader, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan.
für den Stamm der Sebuloniter der Anführer Elizafan, der Sohn Parnachs;
“Of the tribe of the sons of Zebulun a leader, Elizaphan the son of Parnach.
für den Stamm der Issachariter der Anführer Paltiël, der Sohn Asans;
“Of the tribe of the sons of Issachar a leader, Paltiel the son of Azzan.
für den Stamm der Ascheriter der Anführer Ahihud, der Sohn Schelomis;
“Of the tribe of the sons of Asher a leader, Ahihud the son of Shelomi.
für den Stamm der Naftaliter der Anführer Pedahel, der Sohn Ammihuds.
“Of the tribe of the sons of Naphtali a leader, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.”
