Denn da die Welt angesichts der Weisheit Gottes auf dem Weg ihrer Weisheit Gott nicht erkannte, beschloss Gott, alle, die glauben, durch die Torheit der Verkündigung zu retten.

Denn dieweil die Welt durch ihre Weisheit Gott in seiner Weisheit nicht erkannte, gefiel es Gott wohl, durch törichte Predigt selig zu machen die, so daran glauben.

Denn Gott in seiner Weisheit hat es den Menschen unmöglich gemacht, mit Hilfe ihrer eigenen Weisheit Gott zu erkennen. Stattdessen beschloss er, alle zu retten, die einer scheinbar so unsinnigen Botschaft glauben.
