Da! Der Feind rückt aus dem Norden an, man hört schon den Lärm! Er wird die Städte Judas zu Ruinen machen, in denen die Schakale hausen.‹«

Siehe, es kommt ein Geschrei daher und ein großes Beben aus dem Lande von Mitternacht, daß die Städte Juda’s verwüstet und zur Wohnung der Schakale werden sollen.

Horch, eine Kunde trifft eben ein, großes Getöse vom Nordland her: Judas Städte sollen zum Ödland werden, zur Behausung für Schakale.
