Wieder empfing ich eine Botschaft vom HERRN:
Ezekiel Prepares for Exile
Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
»Du Mensch«, sagte er, »du lebst mitten unter einem widerspenstigen Volk. Sie haben Augen, sehen aber nichts; sie haben Ohren, doch sie wollen nicht hören, denn sie lehnen sich gegen mich auf.
“Son of man, you live in the midst of the rebellious house, who have eyes to see but do not see, ears to hear but do not hear; for they are a rebellious house.
Du aber, Mensch, pack dir ein Bündel, wie es Flüchtlinge bei sich tragen! Verlass am helllichten Tag dein Zuhause und mach dich auf den Weg, so dass alle es sehen können! Vielleicht gehen diesem widerspenstigen Volk dann die Augen auf.
“Therefore, son of man, prepare for yourself baggage for exile and go into exile by day in their sight; even go into exile from your place to another place in their sight. Perhaps they will understand though they are a rebellious house.
Trag dein Flüchtlingsgepäck am Tag aus dem Haus, während sie dir zuschauen. Am Abend sollst du dann fortziehen wie jemand, der in die Verbannung geführt wird:
“Bring your baggage out by day in their sight, as baggage for exile. Then you will go out at evening in their sight, as those going into exile.
Brich vor ihren Augen ein Loch in deine Hauswand und zwäng dich hindurch!
“Dig a hole through the wall in their sight and go out through it.
Nimm dein Bündel auf die Schultern und, sobald es dunkel wird, zieh damit fort! Verhüll dein Gesicht, damit du das Land nicht mehr siehst, das du verlassen musst. So mache ich dich zu einem Mahnzeichen für die Israeliten, damit sie erkennen, was sie erwartet!«
“Load the baggage on your shoulder in their sight and carry it out in the dark. You shall cover your face so that you cannot see the land, for I have set you as a sign to the house of Israel.”
Ich tat, was Gott mir befohlen hatte: Bei Tag trug ich mein Flüchtlingsgepäck aus dem Haus, und am Abend brach ich mit der Hand ein Loch in die Hauswand und kroch hinaus. Vor aller Augen packte ich das Bündel in der Dunkelheit auf meine Schultern.
I did so, as I had been commanded. By day I brought out my baggage like the baggage of an exile. Then in the evening I dug through the wall with my hands; I went out in the dark and carried the baggage on my shoulder in their sight.
Am nächsten Morgen gab der HERR mir folgende Botschaft:
In the morning the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
»Du Mensch, die Israeliten, dieses widerspenstige Volk, haben dich doch gefragt, was dein Verhalten zu bedeuten hat.
“Son of man, has not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, said to you, ‘What are you doing?’
Ich, Gott, der HERR, lasse ihnen sagen: Diese Botschaft gilt dem Herrscher in Jerusalem und allen Israeliten, die dort wohnen.
“Say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “This burden concerns the prince in Jerusalem as well as all the house of Israel who are in it.”’
Mach ihnen klar, dass sie an dir sehen können, was ihnen bevorsteht: Sie werden gefangen in die Verbannung geführt.
“Say, ‘I am a sign to you. As I have done, so it will be done to them; they will go into exile, into captivity.’
Ihr Herrscher nimmt in der Dunkelheit sein Bündel auf die Schultern und flieht durch ein Loch in der Stadtmauer, das für ihn herausgebrochen wurde. Er verhüllt sein Gesicht, denn er wird das Land, das er verlässt, nie wiedersehen.
“The prince who is among them will load his baggage on his shoulder in the dark and go out. They will dig a hole through the wall to bring it out. He will cover his face so that he can not see the land with his eyes.
Ich werfe mein Fangnetz über ihn, und er wird sich darin verfangen. Ich bringe ihn zur Stadt Babylon, in das Land der Chaldäer; dort wird er sterben, ohne die Stadt gesehen zu haben.
“I will also spread My net over him, and he will be caught in My snare. And I will bring him to Babylon in the land of the Chaldeans; yet he will not see it, though he will die there.
Sein ganzes Gefolge und die Kriegsleute, mit denen er sich umgab, werde ich in alle Winde zerstreuen. Ja, ich verfolge sie mit gezücktem Schwert,
“I will scatter to every wind all who are around him, his helpers and all his troops; and I will draw out a sword after them.
ich vertreibe sie zu fremden Völkern und in fremde Länder, damit sie erkennen, dass ich der HERR bin.
“So they will know that I am the LORD when I scatter them among the nations and spread them among the countries.
Krieg, Hunger und Seuchen werden viele dahinraffen. Doch ich selbst sorge dafür, dass ein kleiner Rest von ihnen am Leben bleibt. Sie sollen den Völkern, bei denen sie wohnen, von den abscheulichen Taten der Israeliten erzählen. So sollen auch diese Völker erfahren, dass ich der HERR bin.«
“But I will spare a few of them from the sword, the famine and the pestilence that they may tell all their abominations among the nations where they go, and may know that I am the LORD.”
Wieder bekam ich eine Botschaft vom HERRN. Er befahl mir:
Moreover, the word of the LORD came to me saying,
»Du Mensch, nur noch mit Zittern sollst du dein Brot essen, und wenn du trinkst, sollst du beben vor Angst!
“Son of man, eat your bread with trembling and drink your water with quivering and anxiety.
Sag deinem Volk in der Verbannung: So spricht Gott, der HERR: Die Menschen, die in Jerusalem und in ganz Israel übrig geblieben sind, werden voller Angst ihr Brot essen und zitternd vor Entsetzen ihr Wasser trinken. Denn ihr Land wird verwüstet und seines ganzen Reichtums beraubt sein. Das ist die Strafe für all die Gewalttaten, die von den Menschen dort begangen wurden.
“Then say to the people of the land, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem in the land of Israel, “They will eat their bread with anxiety and drink their water with horror, because their land will be stripped of its fullness on account of the violence of all who live in it.
Die blühenden Städte werden in Trümmern liegen, und die fruchtbaren Felder sind dann nur noch eine trostlose Wüste. Daran sollt ihr erkennen, dass ich der HERR bin.«
“The inhabited cities will be laid waste and the land will be a desolation. So you will know that I am the LORD.”’”
Darauf gab der HERR mir folgende Botschaft. Er sprach:
Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
»Du Mensch, welche Redensart geht da bei euch in Israel um? Ihr sagt: ›Die Zeit vergeht, aber die Visionen der Propheten erfüllen sich nie!‹
“Son of man, what is this proverb you people have concerning the land of Israel, saying, ‘The days are long and every vision fails’?
Darum richte dem Volk aus, was ich, Gott, der HERR, ihnen zu sagen habe: Ich werde dafür sorgen, dass man diese Redensart in Israel nicht mehr gebraucht! Sag ihnen: Die Zeit ist gekommen, in der sich all die Visionen erfüllen!
“Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “I will make this proverb cease so that they will no longer use it as a proverb in Israel.” But tell them, “The days draw near as well as the fulfillment of every vision.
In Zukunft wird es in Israel keine falschen Propheten mehr geben, die euch nach dem Munde reden und von Erscheinungen berichten, die sie gar nicht gesehen haben.
“For there will no longer be any false vision or flattering divination within the house of Israel.
Denn ich, der HERR, rede zu euch; und was ich verkünde, das trifft ein! Es lässt nicht mehr lange auf sich warten. Noch zu euren Lebzeiten, ihr widerspenstigen Israeliten, werden sich alle meine Voraussagen erfüllen. Darauf gebe ich, Gott, der HERR, mein Wort!«
“For I the LORD will speak, and whatever word I speak will be performed. It will no longer be delayed, for in your days, O rebellious house, I will speak the word and perform it,” declares the Lord GOD.’”
»Du Mensch, ich weiß, wie die Israeliten über dich reden. Sie behaupten: ›Seine Visionen betreffen uns nicht, er weissagt für eine ferne Zukunft!‹
“Son of man, behold, the house of Israel is saying, ‘The vision that he sees is for many years from now, and he prophesies of times far off.’
Darum richte ihnen aus: So spricht Gott, der HERR: Was ich voraussage, lässt nicht mehr lange auf sich warten! Was ich verkünde, das trifft ein! Mein Wort gilt!«
“Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “None of My words will be delayed any longer. Whatever word I speak will be performed,”’” declares the Lord GOD.
