And he entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there which had a withered hand.

And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him.
Da sagte er zu dem Mann mit der verdorrten Hand: Steh auf und stell dich in die Mitte!
And he saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth.
Und zu den anderen sagte er: Was ist am Sabbat erlaubt — Gutes zu tun oder Böses, ein Leben zu retten oder es zu vernichten? Sie aber schwiegen.
And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.
Und er sah sie der Reihe nach an, voll Zorn und Trauer über ihr verstocktes Herz, und sagte zu dem Mann: Streck deine Hand aus! Er streckte sie aus und seine Hand wurde wiederhergestellt.
And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
Da gingen die Pharisäer hinaus und fassten zusammen mit den Anhängern des Herodes den Beschluss, Jesus umzubringen.
And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.
Jesus zog sich mit seinen Jüngern an den See zurück. Viele Menschen aus Galiläa aber folgten ihm nach. Auch aus Judäa,

And from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and from beyond Jordan; and they about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they had heard what great things he did, came unto him.
Da sagte er zu seinen Jüngern, sie sollten ein Boot für ihn bereithalten, damit er von der Menge nicht erdrückt werde.
And he spake to his disciples, that a small ship should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they should throng him.
Denn er heilte viele, sodass alle, die ein Leiden hatten, sich an ihn herandrängten, um ihn zu berühren.
For he had healed many; insomuch that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as many as had plagues.
Wenn die von unreinen Geistern Besessenen ihn sahen, fielen sie vor ihm nieder und schrien: Du bist der Sohn Gottes!
And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.
Er aber gebot ihnen, dass sie ihn nicht bekannt machen sollten.
And he straitly charged them that they should not make him known.
Jesus stieg auf einen Berg und rief die zu sich, die er selbst wollte, und sie kamen zu ihm.

dazu Andreas, Philippus, Bartholomäus, Matthäus, Thomas, Jakobus, der Sohn des Alphäus, Thaddäus, Simon Kananäus
And Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Canaanite,
und Judas Iskariot, der ihn dann ausgeliefert hat.

Jesus ging in ein Haus und wieder kamen so viele Menschen zusammen, dass sie nicht einmal mehr essen konnten.

And the multitude cometh together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.

Die Schriftgelehrten, die von Jerusalem herabgekommen waren, sagten: Er ist von Beelzebul besessen; mit Hilfe des Herrschers der Dämonen treibt er die Dämonen aus.
And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.
Da rief er sie zu sich und belehrte sie in Gleichnissen: Wie kann der Satan den Satan austreiben?
And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan?
Wenn ein Reich in sich gespalten ist, kann es keinen Bestand haben.
And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
Wenn eine Familie in sich gespalten ist, kann sie keinen Bestand haben.
And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
Und wenn sich der Satan gegen sich selbst erhebt und gespalten ist, kann er keinen Bestand haben, sondern es ist um ihn geschehen.
And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Es kann aber auch keiner in das Haus des Starken eindringen und ihm den Hausrat rauben, wenn er nicht zuerst den Starken fesselt; erst dann kann er sein Haus plündern.
No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.
Amen, ich sage euch: Alle Vergehen und Lästerungen werden den Menschen vergeben werden, so viel sie auch lästern mögen;
The Unpardonable Sin
Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:

wer aber den Heiligen Geist lästert, der findet in Ewigkeit keine Vergebung, sondern seine Sünde wird ewig an ihm haften.
But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:
Sie hatten nämlich gesagt: Er hat einen unreinen Geist.
Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.
Da kamen seine Mutter und seine Brüder; sie blieben draußen stehen und ließen ihn herausrufen.

There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling him.

Es saßen viele Leute um ihn herum und man sagte zu ihm: Siehe, deine Mutter und deine Brüder stehen draußen und suchen dich.
And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee.
Er erwiderte: Wer ist meine Mutter und wer sind meine Brüder?
And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren?
Und er blickte auf die Menschen, die im Kreis um ihn herumsaßen, und sagte: Das hier sind meine Mutter und meine Brüder.
And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
