Dies sollen alle bekennen, die der HERR erlöst hat. Ja, er hat sie aus der Gewalt ihrer Unterdrücker befreit
Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story —
those he redeemed from the hand of the foe,

und aus fernen Ländern wieder zurückgebracht — aus Ost und West, aus Nord und Süd.

Gott verwandelt wasserreiches Land in dürre Wüste, und wo vorher Quellen sprudelten, entstehen trostlose Steppen.
