1 Chronicles 24

    Aber dies waren die Ordnungen der Kinder Aaron. Die Kinder Aarons waren: Nadab, Abihu, Eleasar und Ithamar.

    The Divisions of the Priests

    Now these are the divisions of the sons of Aaron. The sons of Aaron were Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

    Aber Nadab und Abihu starben vor ihrem Vater und hatten keine Kinder. Und Eleasar und Ithamar wurden Priester.

    And Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children; therefore Eleazar and Ithamar ministered as priests.

    Und es ordneten sie David und Zadok aus den Kinder Eleasars und Ahimelech aus den Kindern Ithamars nach ihrer Zahl und ihrem Amt.

    Then David with Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, divided them according to the schedule of their service.

    Und wurden der Kinder Eleasars mehr gefunden an Häuptern der Männer denn der Kinder Ithamars. Und er ordnete sie also: 16 aus den Kindern Eleasars zu Obersten ihrer Vaterhäuser und acht aus den Kindern Ithamars nach ihren Vaterhäusern.

    There were more leaders found of the sons of Eleazar than of the sons of Ithamar, and thus they were divided. Among the sons of Eleazar were sixteen heads of their fathers’ houses, and eight heads of their fathers’ houses among the sons of Ithamar.

    Er ordnete sie aber durchs Los, darum daß beide aus Eleasars und Ithamars Kindern Oberste waren im Heiligtum und Oberste vor Gott.

    Thus they were divided by lot, one group as another, for there were officials of the sanctuary and officials of the house of God, from the sons of Eleazar and from the sons of Ithamar.

    Und der Schreiber Semaja, der Sohn Nathanaels, aus den Leviten, schrieb sie auf vor dem König und vor den Obersten und vor Zadok, dem Priester, und vor Ahimelech, dem Sohn Abjathars, und vor den Obersten der Vaterhäuser unter den Priestern und Leviten, nämlich je ein Vaterhaus für Eleasar und das andere für Ithamar.

    And the scribe, Shemaiah the son of Nethanel, one of the Levites, wrote them down before the king, the leaders, Zadok the priest, Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and the heads of the fathers’ houses of the priests and Levites, one father’s house taken for Eleazar and one for Ithamar.

    the nineteenth to Pethahiah, the twentieth to [b]Jehezekel,

    das 21. auf Jachin, das 22. auf Gamul,

    the twenty-first to Jachin, the twenty-second to Gamul,

    das 23. auf Delaja, das 24. auf Maasja.

    the twenty-third to Delaiah, the twenty-fourth to Maaziah.

    Das ist die Ordnung nach ihrem Amt, zu gehen in das Haus des HERRN nach ihrer Weise unter ihrem Vater Aaron, wie ihm der HERR, der Gott Israels, geboten hat.

    This was the schedule of their service for coming into the house of the Lord according to their ordinance by the hand of Aaron their father, as the Lord God of Israel had commanded him.

    Aber unter den andern Kindern Levi war unter den Kindern Amrams Subael. Unter den Kindern Subaels war Jehdeja.

    Other Levites

    And the rest of the sons of Levi: of the sons of Amram, [c]Shubael; of the sons of Shubael, Jehdeiah.

    Unter den Kindern Rehabjas war der erste: Jissia.

    Concerning Rehabiah, of the sons of Rehabiah, the first was Isshiah.

    Aber unter den Jizharitern war Selomoth. Unter den Kindern Selomoths war Jahath.

    Of the Izharites, [d]Shelomoth; of the sons of Shelomoth, Jahath.

    Die Kinder Hebrons waren: Jeria, der erste; Amarja, der zweite; Jahasiel, der dritte; Jakmeam, der vierte.

    Of the sons [e]of Hebron, Jeriah was the first, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth.

    Die Kinder Usiels waren: Micha. Unter den Kindern Michas war Samir.

    Of the sons of Uzziel, Michah; of the sons of Michah, Shamir.

    Der Bruder Michas war: Jissia. Unter den Kindern Jissias war Sacharja.

    The brother of Michah, Isshiah; of the sons of Isshiah, Zechariah.

    Die Kinder Meraris waren: Maheli und Musi, die Kinder Jaesias, seines Sohnes.

    The sons of Merari were Mahli and Mushi; the son of Jaaziah, Beno.

    Die Kinder Meraris von Jaesia, seinem Sohn, waren: Soham, Sakkur und Ibri.

    The sons of Merari by Jaaziah were Beno, Shoham, Zaccur, and Ibri.

    Maheli aber hatte Eleasar, der hatte keine Söhne.

    Of Mahli: Eleazar, who had no sons.

    Von Kis: unter den Kindern des Kis war: Jerahmeel.

    Of Kish: the son of Kish, Jerahmeel.

    Die Kinder Musis waren: Maheli, Eder und Jeremoth. Das sind die Kinder der Leviten nach ihren Vaterhäusern.

    Also the sons of Mushi were Mahli, Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites according to their fathers’ houses.

    Und man warf für sie auch das Los neben ihren Brüdern, den Kindern Aaron, vor dem König David und Zadok und Ahimelech und vor den Obersten der Vaterhäuser unter den Priestern und Leviten, für den jüngsten Bruder ebensowohl als für den Obersten in den Vaterhäusern.

    These also cast lots just as their brothers the sons of Aaron did, in the presence of King David, Zadok, Ahimelech, and the heads of the fathers’ houses of the priests and Levites. The chief fathers did just as their younger brethren.
