Der Gazelle gleicht mein Geliebter, dem jungen Hirsch. Sieh da, er steht hinter unserer Mauer, er blickt durch die Fenster, späht durch die Gitter.

Mein Freund ist gleich einem Reh oder jungen Hirsch. Siehe, er steht hinter unsrer Wand, sieht durchs Fenster und guckt durchs Gitter.

Schnell wie eine Gazelle läuft er, flink wie ein Hirsch. Schon steht er vor dem Haus! Er späht durch das Gitter, blickt zum Fenster herein.
