Da nahm Tharah seinen Sohn Abram und Lot, seines Sohnes Harans Sohn, und seine Schwiegertochter Sarai, seines Sohnes Abrams Weib, und führte sie aus Ur in Chaldäa, daß er ins Land Kanaan zöge; und sie kamen gen Haran und wohnten daselbst.

Terach verließ die Stadt Ur, die von den Chaldäern bewohnt wurde. Gemeinsam mit seinem Sohn Abram, seinem Enkel Lot und seiner Schwiegertochter Sarai wollte er in das Land Kanaan auswandern. Sie kamen nach Haran und schlugen dort ihre Zelte auf.

Terach nahm seinen Sohn Abram, seinen Enkel Lot, den Sohn Harans, und seine Schwiegertochter Sarai, die Frau seines Sohnes Abram, und sie zogen miteinander aus Ur in Chaldäa aus, um in das Land Kanaan zu gehen. Als sie aber nach Haran kamen, siedelten sie sich dort an.
