Da versammelte sich eine große Menschenmenge um ihn. Er stieg deshalb in ein Boot und setzte sich. Und alle Menschen standen am Ufer.
And large crowds gathered to Him, so He got into a boat and sat down, and the whole crowd was standing on the beach.
Und er sprach lange zu ihnen in Gleichnissen. Er sagte: Siehe, ein Sämann ging hinaus, um zu säen.
And He spoke many things to them in parables, saying, “Behold, the sower went out to sow;
Als er säte, fiel ein Teil auf den Weg und die Vögel kamen und fraßen es.
and as he sowed, some seeds fell beside the road, and the birds came and ate them up.
Ein anderer Teil fiel auf felsigen Boden, wo es nur wenig Erde gab, und ging sofort auf, weil das Erdreich nicht tief war;
“Others fell on the rocky places, where they did not have much soil; and immediately they sprang up, because they had no depth of soil.
als aber die Sonne hochstieg, wurde die Saat versengt und verdorrte, weil sie keine Wurzeln hatte.
“But when the sun had risen, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
Wieder ein anderer Teil fiel in die Dornen und die Dornen wuchsen und erstickten die Saat.
“Others fell among the thorns, and the thorns came up and choked them out.
Ein anderer Teil aber fiel auf guten Boden und brachte Frucht, teils hundertfach, teils sechzigfach, teils dreißigfach.
“And others fell on the good soil and yielded a crop, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty.
Da traten die Jünger zu ihm und sagten: Warum redest du zu ihnen in Gleichnissen?
An Explanation
And the disciples came and said to Him, “Why do You speak to them in parables?”
Er antwortete ihnen: Euch ist es gegeben, die Geheimnisse des Himmelreichs zu verstehen; ihnen aber ist es nicht gegeben.
Jesus answered them, “To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been granted.
Denn wer hat, dem wird gegeben und er wird im Überfluss haben; wer aber nicht hat, dem wird auch noch weggenommen, was er hat.
“For whoever has, to him more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has shall be taken away from him.
Deshalb rede ich zu ihnen in Gleichnissen, weil sie sehen und doch nicht sehen und hören und doch nicht hören und nicht verstehen.
“Therefore I speak to them in parables; because while seeing they do not see, and while hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.
An ihnen erfüllt sich das Prophetenwort Jesajas: Hören sollt ihr, hören und doch nicht verstehen; sehen sollt ihr, sehen und doch nicht einsehen.
“In their case the prophecy of Isaiah is being fulfilled, which says,
‘YOU WILL KEEP ON HEARING, BUT WILL NOT UNDERSTAND;
YOU WILL KEEP ON SEEING, BUT WILL NOT PERCEIVE;
‘YOU WILL KEEP ON HEARING, BUT WILL NOT UNDERSTAND;
YOU WILL KEEP ON SEEING, BUT WILL NOT PERCEIVE;
Denn das Herz dieses Volkes ist hart geworden. Mit ihren Ohren hören sie schwer und ihre Augen verschließen sie, damit sie mit ihren Augen nicht sehen und mit ihren Ohren nicht hören und mit ihrem Herzen nicht zur Einsicht kommen und sich bekehren und ich sie heile.
FOR THE HEART OF THIS PEOPLE HAS BECOME DULL,
WITH THEIR EARS THEY SCARCELY HEAR,
AND THEY HAVE CLOSED THEIR EYES,
OTHERWISE THEY WOULD SEE WITH THEIR EYES,
HEAR WITH THEIR EARS,
AND UNDERSTAND WITH THEIR HEART AND RETURN,
AND I WOULD HEAL THEM.’
WITH THEIR EARS THEY SCARCELY HEAR,
AND THEY HAVE CLOSED THEIR EYES,
OTHERWISE THEY WOULD SEE WITH THEIR EYES,
HEAR WITH THEIR EARS,
AND UNDERSTAND WITH THEIR HEART AND RETURN,
AND I WOULD HEAL THEM.’
Eure Augen aber sind selig, weil sie sehen, und eure Ohren, weil sie hören.
“But blessed are your eyes, because they see; and your ears, because they hear.
Denn, amen, ich sage euch: Viele Propheten und Gerechte haben sich danach gesehnt zu sehen, was ihr seht, und haben es nicht gesehen, und zu hören, was ihr hört, und haben es nicht gehört.
“For truly I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.
Ihr also, hört, was das Gleichnis vom Sämann bedeutet.
The Sower Explained
“Hear then the parable of the sower.
Zu jedem Menschen, der das Wort vom Reich hört und es nicht versteht, kommt der Böse und nimmt weg, was diesem Menschen ins Herz gesät wurde; bei diesem ist der Samen auf den Weg gefallen.
“When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is the one on whom seed was sown beside the road.
Auf felsigen Boden ist der Samen bei dem gefallen, der das Wort hört und sofort freudig aufnimmt;
“The one on whom seed was sown on the rocky places, this is the man who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy;
er hat aber keine Wurzeln, sondern ist unbeständig; sobald er um des Wortes willen bedrängt oder verfolgt wird, kommt er sofort zu Fall.
yet he has no firm root in himself, but is only temporary, and when affliction or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he falls away.
In die Dornen ist der Samen bei dem gefallen, der das Wort hört, und die Sorgen dieser Welt und der trügerische Reichtum ersticken es und es bleibt ohne Frucht.
“And the one on whom seed was sown among the thorns, this is the man who hears the word, and the worry of the world and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.
Auf guten Boden ist der Samen bei dem gesät, der das Wort hört und es auch versteht; er bringt Frucht — hundertfach oder sechzigfach oder dreißigfach.
“And the one on whom seed was sown on the good soil, this is the man who hears the word and understands it; who indeed bears fruit and brings forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty.”
Jesus legte ihnen ein anderes Gleichnis vor: Mit dem Himmelreich ist es wie mit einem Mann, der guten Samen auf seinen Acker säte.
Tares among Wheat
Jesus presented another parable to them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field.
Während nun die Menschen schliefen, kam sein Feind, säte Unkraut unter den Weizen und ging weg.
“But while his men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went away.
Als die Saat aufging und sich die Ähren bildeten, kam auch das Unkraut zum Vorschein.
“But when the wheat sprouted and bore grain, then the tares became evident also.
Da gingen die Knechte zu dem Gutsherrn und sagten: Herr, hast du nicht guten Samen auf deinen Acker gesät? Woher kommt dann das Unkraut?
“The slaves of the landowner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’
Er antwortete: Das hat ein Feind getan. Da sagten die Knechte zu ihm: Sollen wir gehen und es ausreißen?
“And he said to them, ‘An enemy has done this!’ The slaves said to him, ‘Do you want us, then, to go and gather them up?’
Er entgegnete: Nein, damit ihr nicht zusammen mit dem Unkraut den Weizen ausreißt.
“But he said, ‘No; for while you are gathering up the tares, you may uproot the wheat with them.
Lasst beides wachsen bis zur Ernte und zur Zeit der Ernte werde ich den Schnittern sagen: Sammelt zuerst das Unkraut und bindet es in Bündel, um es zu verbrennen; den Weizen aber bringt in meine Scheune!
‘Allow both to grow together until the harvest; and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather up the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them up; but gather the wheat into my barn.”’”
Er legte ihnen ein weiteres Gleichnis vor und sagte: Mit dem Himmelreich ist es wie mit einem Senfkorn, das ein Mann auf seinen Acker säte.
The Mustard Seed
He presented another parable to them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field;
Es ist das kleinste von allen Samenkörnern; sobald es aber hochgewachsen ist, ist es größer als die anderen Gewächse und wird zu einem Baum, sodass die Vögel des Himmels kommen und in seinen Zweigen nisten.
and this is smaller than all other seeds, but when it is full grown, it is larger than the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that THE BIRDS OF THE AIR come and NEST IN ITS BRANCHES.”
Er sagte ihnen ein weiteres Gleichnis: Mit dem Himmelreich ist es wie mit dem Sauerteig, den eine Frau nahm und unter drei Sea Mehl verbarg, bis das Ganze durchsäuert war.
The Leaven
He spoke another parable to them, “The kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three pecks of flour until it was all leavened.”
Dies alles sagte Jesus der Menschenmenge in Gleichnissen und ohne Gleichnisse redete er nicht zu ihnen,
All these things Jesus spoke to the crowds in parables, and He did not speak to them without a parable.
damit sich erfülle, was durch den Propheten gesagt worden ist: Ich öffne meinen Mund in Gleichnissen, ich spreche aus, was seit der Schöpfung der Welt verborgen war.
This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet:
“I WILL OPEN MY MOUTH IN PARABLES;
I WILL UTTER THINGS HIDDEN SINCE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD.”
“I WILL OPEN MY MOUTH IN PARABLES;
I WILL UTTER THINGS HIDDEN SINCE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD.”
Dann verließ er die Menge und ging in das Haus. Und seine Jünger kamen zu ihm und sagten: Erkläre uns das Gleichnis vom Unkraut auf dem Acker!
The Tares Explained
Then He left the crowds and went into the house. And His disciples came to Him and said, “Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field.”
Er antwortete: Der den guten Samen sät, ist der Menschensohn;
And He said, “The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man,
der Acker ist die Welt; der gute Samen, das sind die Kinder des Reiches; das Unkraut sind die Kinder des Bösen;
and the field is the world; and as for the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom; and the tares are the sons of the evil one;
der Feind, der es gesät hat, ist der Teufel; die Ernte ist das Ende der Welt; die Schnitter sind die Engel.
and the enemy who sowed them is the devil, and the harvest is the end of the age; and the reapers are angels.
Wie nun das Unkraut aufgesammelt und im Feuer verbrannt wird, so wird es auch bei dem Ende der Welt sein:
“So just as the tares are gathered up and burned with fire, so shall it be at the end of the age.
Der Menschensohn wird seine Engel aussenden und sie werden aus seinem Reich alle zusammenholen, die andere verführt und Gesetzloses getan haben,
“The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all stumbling blocks, and those who commit lawlessness,
und werden sie in den Feuerofen werfen. Dort wird Heulen und Zähneknirschen sein.
and will throw them into the furnace of fire; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Dann werden die Gerechten im Reich ihres Vaters wie die Sonne leuchten. Wer Ohren hat, der höre!
“Then THE RIGHTEOUS WILL SHINE FORTH AS THE SUN in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.
Mit dem Himmelreich ist es wie mit einem Schatz, der in einem Acker vergraben war. Ein Mann entdeckte ihn und grub ihn wieder ein. Und in seiner Freude ging er hin, verkaufte alles, was er besaß, und kaufte den Acker.
Hidden Treasure
“The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in the field, which a man found and hid again; and from joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.
Auch ist es mit dem Himmelreich wie mit einem Kaufmann, der schöne Perlen suchte.
A Costly Pearl
“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking fine pearls,
Als er eine besonders wertvolle Perle fand, ging er hin, verkaufte alles, was er besaß, und kaufte sie.
and upon finding one pearl of great value, he went and sold all that he had and bought it.
Wiederum ist es mit dem Himmelreich wie mit einem Netz, das ins Meer ausgeworfen wurde und in dem sich Fische aller Art fingen.
A Dragnet
“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet cast into the sea, and gathering fish of every kind;
Als es voll war, zogen es die Fischer ans Ufer; sie setzten sich, sammelten die guten Fische in Körbe, die schlechten aber warfen sie weg.
and when it was filled, they drew it up on the beach; and they sat down and gathered the good fish into containers, but the bad they threw away.
So wird es auch bei dem Ende der Welt sein: Die Engel werden kommen und die Bösen aus der Mitte der Gerechten aussondern
“So it will be at the end of the age; the angels will come forth and take out the wicked from among the righteous,
und sie in den Feuerofen werfen. Dort wird Heulen und Zähneknirschen sein.
and will throw them into the furnace of fire; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Habt ihr das alles verstanden? Sie antworteten ihm: Ja.
“Have you understood all these things?” They said to Him, “Yes.”
Da sagte er zu ihnen: Deswegen gleicht jeder Schriftgelehrte, der ein Jünger des Himmelreichs geworden ist, einem Hausherrn, der aus seinem Schatz Neues und Altes hervorholt.
And Jesus said to them, “Therefore every scribe who has become a disciple of the kingdom of heaven is like a head of a household, who brings out of his treasure things new and old.”
Und es geschah, als Jesus diese Gleichnisse beendet hatte, zog er weiter.
Jesus Revisits Nazareth
When Jesus had finished these parables, He departed from there.
Jesus kam in seine Heimatstadt und lehrte die Menschen in ihrer Synagoge, sodass sie außer sich gerieten vor Staunen und sagten: Woher hat er diese Weisheit und die Machttaten?
He came to His hometown and began teaching them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished, and said, “Where did this man get this wisdom and these miraculous powers?
Ist das nicht der Sohn des Zimmermanns? Heißt nicht seine Mutter Maria und sind nicht Jakobus, Josef, Simon und Judas seine Brüder?
“Is not this the carpenter’s son? Is not His mother called Mary, and His brothers, James and Joseph and Simon and Judas?
Leben nicht auch alle seine Schwestern unter uns? Woher also hat er das alles?
“And His sisters, are they not all with us? Where then did this man get all these things?”
Und sie nahmen Anstoß an ihm. Da sagte Jesus zu ihnen: Nirgends ist ein Prophet ohne Ansehen außer in seiner Heimat und in seiner Familie.
And they took offense at Him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his hometown and in his own household.”
