Das ist die Geschlechterfolge nach Aaron und Mose, zu der Zeit, als der HERR mit Mose auf dem Berg Sinai redete.
Das waren die Namen der Söhne Aarons: Nadab, der Erstgeborene, und Abihu, Eleasar und Itamar.
And these are the names of the sons of Aaron: Nadab, the firstborn, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
Das waren die Namen der Söhne Aarons, der gesalbten Priester, denen man die Hand gefüllt hatte zum Priesterdienst.
Nadab und Abihu waren vor den Augen des HERRN gestorben, als sie in der Wüste Sinai dem HERRN ein unrechtmäßiges Feueropfer darbrachten. Sie hatten keine Söhne und so versahen dann Eleasar und Itamar unter der Aufsicht ihres Vaters Aaron den Priesterdienst.
Nadab and Abihu had died before the Lord when they offered profane fire before the Lord in the Wilderness of Sinai; and they had no children. So Eleazar and Ithamar ministered as priests in the presence of Aaron their father.
Der HERR sprach zu Mose:
The Levites Serve in the Tabernacle
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:

Lass den Stamm Levi vor dem Priester Aaron antreten, damit sie ihm dienen!
“Bring the tribe of Levi near, and present them before Aaron the priest, that they may serve him.
Sie sollen seine Anordnung befolgen und den Dienst der ganzen Gemeinde vor dem Offenbarungszelt tun, indem sie den Dienst an der Wohnung verrichten.
And they shall attend to his needs and the needs of the whole congregation before the tabernacle of meeting, to do the work of the tabernacle.
Sie sollen alle Geräte des Offenbarungszeltes versorgen und den Dienst der Israeliten tun, indem sie den Dienst an der Wohnung verrichten.
Also they shall attend to all the furnishings of the tabernacle of meeting, and to the needs of the children of Israel, to do the work of the tabernacle.
Die Leviten sollst du Aaron und seinen Söhnen zuweisen; sie sollen unter den Israeliten ausschließlich für den Dienst bei Aaron bestimmt sein.
Aaron und seine Söhne aber sollst du beauftragen, ihren Priesterdienst zu tun. Jeder Unbefugte, der sich nähert, ist dem Tod verfallen.
So you shall appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall attend to their priesthood; but the outsider who comes near shall be put to death.”
Siehe, hiermit nehme ich die Leviten aus der Mitte der Israeliten als Ersatz für alle Erstgeborenen, die den Mutterschoß durchbrechen. Die Leviten gehören mir;
“Now behold, I Myself have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel instead of every firstborn who opens the womb among the children of Israel. Therefore the Levites shall be Mine,
denn alle Erstgeborenen gehören mir. Als ich in Ägypten alle Erstgeborenen erschlug, habe ich alle Erstgeborenen in Israel mir geheiligt, bei den Menschen und beim Vieh. Mir gehören sie; ich bin der HERR.
because all the firstborn are Mine. On the day that I struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, I sanctified to Myself all the firstborn in Israel, both man and beast. They shall be Mine: I am the Lord.”
Der HERR sprach in der Wüste Sinai zu Mose:

Then the Lord spoke to Moses in the Wilderness of Sinai, saying:

Mustere die Leviten nach ihren Großfamilien und ihren Sippen! Alle männlichen Personen von einem Monat und darüber sollst du mustern.
“Number the children of Levi by their fathers’ houses, by their families; you shall number every male from a month old and above.”
Da musterte sie Mose nach dem Befehl des HERRN, wie ihm geboten worden war.
Das waren die Namen der Söhne Levis: Gerschon, Kehat und Merari.
These were the sons of Levi by their names: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
Die Namen der Söhne Gerschons und ihrer Sippen waren Libni und Schimi,
And these are the names of the sons of Gershon by their families: Libni and Shimei.
die der Söhne Kehats und ihrer Sippen Amram, Jizhar, Hebron und Usiël,
And the sons of Kohath by their families: Amram, Izehar, Hebron, and Uzziel.
die der Söhne Meraris und ihrer Sippen Machli und Muschi. Das waren die Sippen Levis, geordnet nach ihren Großfamilien:
And the sons of Merari by their families: Mahli and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites by their fathers’ houses.
Zu Gerschon gehörten die Sippe der Libniter und die Sippe der Schimiter; das waren die Sippen der Gerschoniter.
From Gershon came the family of the Libnites and the family of the Shimites; these were the families of the Gershonites.
Die Zahl ihrer gemusterten männlichen Personen von einem Monat und darüber betrug im Ganzen 7 500.
Those who were numbered, according to the number of all the males from a month old and above — of those who were numbered there were seven thousand five hundred.
Die Sippen der Gerschoniter lagerten hinter der Wohnung gegen Westen.
The families of the Gershonites were to camp behind the tabernacle westward.
Anführer der Großfamilie der Gerschoniter war Eljasaf, der Sohn Laëls.
And the leader of the father’s house of the Gershonites was Eliasaph the son of Lael.
Die Gerschoniter hatten am Offenbarungszelt die Sorge für die Wohnung und das Zelt, für seine Decke und den Vorhang am Eingang des Offenbarungszeltes,
The duties of the children of Gershon in the tabernacle of meeting included the tabernacle, the tent with its covering, the screen for the door of the tabernacle of meeting,
für die Behänge des Vorhofs, für den Vorhang am Eingang des Vorhofs, der ringsum die Wohnung und den Altar umgibt, und für die Zeltstricke, je nachdem, wie es der Dienst erforderte.
the screen for the door of the court, the hangings of the court which are around the tabernacle and the altar, and their cords, according to all the work relating to them.
Zu Kehat gehörten die Sippe der Amramiter, die Sippe der Jizhariter, die Sippe der Hebroniter und die Sippe der Usiëliter; das waren die Sippen der Kehatiter.
From Kohath came the family of the Amramites, the family of the Izharites, the family of the Hebronites, and the family of the Uzzielites; these were the families of the Kohathites.
Die Zahl der männlichen Personen von einem Monat und darüber betrug im Ganzen 8 600; sie hatten am Heiligtum Dienst zu tun.
Die Sippen der Kehatiter lagerten an der Südseite der Wohnung.
The families of the children of Kohath were to camp on the south side of the tabernacle.
Anführer der Großfamilie der Sippen der Kehatiter war Elizafan, der Sohn Usiëls.
And the leader of the fathers’ house of the families of the Kohathites was Elizaphan the son of Uzziel.
Sie hatten die Sorge für die Lade, den Tisch, den Leuchter, die Altäre, die heiligen Geräte, mit denen sie ihren Dienst versahen, für den Vorhang und alles, was zu diesem Dienst gehörte.
Their duty included the ark, the table, the lampstand, the altars, the utensils of the sanctuary with which they ministered, the screen, and all the work relating to them.
Der oberste Anführer der Leviten war der Priester Eleasar, der Sohn Aarons. Er war mit der Aufsicht derer betraut, die am Heiligtum Dienst zu tun hatten.
And Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest was to be chief over the leaders of the Levites, with oversight of those who kept charge of the sanctuary.
Zu Merari gehörten die Sippe der Machliter und die Sippe der Muschiter; das waren die Sippen der Merariter.
From Merari came the family of the Mahlites and the family of the Mushites; these were the families of Merari.
Die Zahl ihrer gemusterten männlichen Personen von einem Monat und darüber betrug im Ganzen 6 200.
And those who were numbered, according to the number of all the males from a month old and above, were six thousand two hundred.
Anführer der Großfamilie der Sippen der Merariter war Zuriël, der Sohn Abihajils. Sie lagerten an der Nordseite der Wohnung.
The leader of the fathers’ house of the families of Merari was Zuriel the son of Abihail. These were to camp on the north side of the tabernacle.
Die Söhne Meraris waren betraut mit der Sorge für die Bretter der Wohnung, ihre Querlatten, Säulen und Sockel, ihre Geräte und alles, was zu diesem Dienst gehörte,
And the appointed duty of the children of Merari included the boards of the tabernacle, its bars, its pillars, its sockets, its utensils, all the work relating to them,
ferner für die Säulen des Vorhofs ringsum, ihre Sockel, ihre Zeltpflöcke und Stricke.
and the pillars of the court all around, with their sockets, their pegs, and their cords.
Vor der Wohnung, vorne vor dem Offenbarungszelt, gegen Sonnenaufgang, lagerten Mose und Aaron mit seinen Söhnen. Sie hatten den Dienst am Heiligtum zu tun, wie er den Israeliten aufgetragen worden war. Jeder Unbefugte, der sich nähert, ist dem Tod verfallen.
Moreover those who were to camp before the tabernacle on the east, before the tabernacle of meeting, were Moses, Aaron, and his sons, keeping charge of the sanctuary, to meet the needs of the children of Israel; but the outsider who came near was to be put to death.
Die Gesamtzahl der Leviten, die Mose und Aaron auf Befehl des HERRN musterten, aller männlichen Personen von einem Monat und darüber, nach ihren Sippen geordnet, betrug 22 000.
All who were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron numbered at the commandment of the Lord, by their families, all the males from a month old and above, were twenty-two thousand.
Der HERR sprach zu Mose: Mustere alle männlichen erstgeborenen Israeliten, die einen Monat und älter sind, stell ihre Zahl namentlich fest!
Dann nimm für mich — ich bin der HERR — die Leviten als Ersatz für alle erstgeborenen Israeliten entgegen, außerdem das Vieh der Leviten als Ersatz für alle Erstlinge unter dem Vieh der Israeliten!
And you shall take the Levites for Me — I am the Lord — instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel, and the livestock of the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the livestock of the children of Israel.”
Mose musterte alle erstgeborenen Israeliten, wie es ihm der HERR geboten hatte.
So Moses numbered all the firstborn among the children of Israel, as the Lord commanded him.
Die Gesamtzahl der männlichen Erstgeborenen, die einen Monat und älter waren, betrug bei dieser namentlichen Musterung 22 273.
And all the firstborn males, according to the number of names from a month old and above, of those who were numbered of them, were twenty-two thousand two hundred and seventy-three.
Nimm die Leviten als Ersatz für alle erstgeborenen Israeliten entgegen, außerdem das Vieh der Leviten als Ersatz für das Vieh der Israeliten! Die Leviten gehören mir, ich bin der HERR.
“Take the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel, and the livestock of the Levites instead of their livestock. The Levites shall be Mine: I am the Lord.
Es sind aber 273 erstgeborene Israeliten mehr als Leviten; sie müssen ausgelöst werden.
And for the redemption of the two hundred and seventy-three of the firstborn of the children of Israel, who are more than the number of the Levites,
Erheb für jeden fünf Schekel; erheb sie nach dem Schekelgewicht des Heiligtums, den Schekel zu zwanzig Gera!
you shall take five shekels for each one individually; you shall take them in the currency of the shekel of the sanctuary, the shekel of twenty gerahs.
Übergib das Geld Aaron und seinen Söhnen zur Auslösung der überzähligen Israeliten!
And you shall give the money, with which the excess number of them is redeemed, to Aaron and his sons.”
Da erhob Mose das Lösegeld von denen, welche die Zahl der Leviten überstiegen und deshalb auszulösen waren.
So Moses took the redemption money from those who were over and above those who were redeemed by the Levites.
1 365 Silberschekel erhob Mose von den erstgeborenen Israeliten, nach dem Schekelgewicht des Heiligtums,
From the firstborn of the children of Israel he took the money, one thousand three hundred and sixty-five shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary.
