Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.
Fragt nach dem HERRN und rechnet mit seiner Macht, wendet euch immer wieder an ihn!
Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.
Ihr Nachkommen seines Dieners Israel, erinnert euch an die Wunder, die er vollbracht hat! Ihr Kinder und Enkel von Jakob, die er auserwählte, denkt an all seine mächtigen Taten und Urteile!
Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;

He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth.
Vergesst niemals seinen Bund, sein Versprechen, das er uns gab. Es gilt für alle Generationen nach uns, selbst wenn es tausende sind.

Die Götter der Völker sind machtlose Figuren, der HERR aber hat den Himmel geschaffen!
For all the gods of the people are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.
Majestät und Pracht gehen von ihm aus, seine Stärke und Freude erfüllen den Ort, wo er wohnt.
Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place.
Gebt dem HERRN, was ihm gebührt; ihr Völker, erkennt seine Ehre und Macht!
Give unto the LORD, ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength.
Preist seinen großen Namen, kommt und bringt ihm eure Opfer dar! Werft euch vor ihm nieder in seiner herrlichen Pracht!
Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
Die ganze Welt soll vor ihm erzittern! Er hat die Fundamente der Erde gelegt, niemals gerät sie ins Wanken.

Der Himmel soll sich freuen und die Erde in Jubel ausbrechen! Sagt den Völkern: ›Der HERR allein ist König!‹
Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, The LORD reigneth.
Das Meer mit allem, was in ihm lebt, soll zu seiner Ehre brausen und tosen! Der Acker sei fröhlich mit allem, was auf ihm wächst!
Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof: let the fields rejoice, and all that is therein.
Auch die Bäume im Wald sollen jubeln, wenn der HERR kommt. Ja, er kommt, um die Welt zu richten.

David ordnete an, dass Asaf und einige andere Leviten von nun an ständig bei der Bundeslade die täglichen Arbeiten ausführen sollten.

Zu dieser Gruppe gehörten Obed-Edom und 68 andere Leviten. Hosa und Obed-Edom, der Sohn von Jedutun, bewachten den Zelteingang.

Heman, Jedutun und noch weitere Sänger schickte David mit den Priestern nach Gibeon. Sie sollten dort mit ihren Liedern den HERRN dafür loben, dass seine Gnade nie aufhört.
And with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest that were chosen, who were expressed by name, to give thanks to the LORD, because his mercy endureth for ever;
Sie nahmen Trompeten, Zimbeln und andere Instrumente mit, die zur Ehre Gottes den Gesang begleiten sollten. Jedutuns Söhne hatten den Zelteingang zu bewachen.
And with them Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those that should make a sound, and with musical instruments of God. And the sons of Jeduthun were porters.
