Du hast deine Befehle gegeben, damit man sie genau beachtet.
Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently.
Wären doch meine Schritte fest darauf gerichtet, deine Gesetze zu beachten.
O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes!
Dann werde ich nicht zuschanden, wenn ich auf all deine Gebote schaue.

Ich gedachte deiner Entscheide von Urzeit an, HERR, so fand ich Trost.

Horror hath taken hold upon me because of the wicked that forsake thy law.
Zum Lobgesang wurden mir deine Gesetze im Haus, in dem ich fremd war.
Thy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage.
